The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024 due to technical difficulties. The exam, which was scheduled for June 12, could not be conducted at all centers and has therefore been rescheduled. The new date for the exam will be announced shortly. The NTA released an official notice stating, "Due to technical reasons, the examination that had commenced at some centers could not be initiated at all examination centers. Consequently, the examination has been postponed. A new date for the NCET 2024 will be announced soon through the official NCET portal." While addressing the exam scheduled from 2 pm to 5 pm, the NTA expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to candidates. A total of 40,233 students had registered for NCET 2024, and biometric registration data showed that nearly 29,000 candidates appeared for the exam at 292 centers across approximately 160 cities nationwide.
