The UGC-NET June 2024 examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency in OMR mode across multiple cities, has been canceled due to concerns over exam integrity. Inputs from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre indicated potential compromises, leading the Ministry of Education to cancel the exam and refer the matter to the CBI for investigation. The University Grants Commission received cybersecurity warnings prompting the cancellation. The ministry emphasized transparency and announced a new exam schedule separately. Additionally, Bihar Police's economic offenses unit is investigating irregularities in the Neet (UG) 2024 exam in Patna. The Supreme Court is set to hear petitions seeking cancellation amid controversies over grace marks and perfect scores.
