The Ministry of Education has formed a high-level committee of experts, led by former ISRO chief K. Radhakrishnan, to ensure transparent, smooth, and fair examinations conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The seven-member committee, which held its first meeting on June 24 at IIT Delhi, will recommend examination reforms, improve data security protocols, and review the NTA's structure and functioning. The reforms are expected by the next exam cycle. The panel will gather feedback from students and parents to address concerns about exam irregularities, like those in NEET and NET. The committee aims to create a tamper-proof, flexible testing system and discussed cybersecurity challenges. Additionally, the CBI is investigating alleged NEET UG 2024 malpractices, and the National Recruitment Agency will develop guidelines for computer-based tests under new anti-paper leak laws.
