A new state-run medical college will open at Gokuldas Tejpal  Hospital in south Mumbai for the 2024-25 academic year, announced Maharashtra Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif. The college, affiliated with GT, Cama, and Albless hospitals, represents a significant expansion in the region's healthcare education infrastructure. Initially proposed in January 2012, the Indian Council of Medical Research has now approved the college, which will start with an intake of 50 students, expected to increase gradually.
