The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is organizing a Principals Meet for its affiliated schools in the Karnataka region on 9th July 2024 at Ryan International School, Vederapura Vill. Gentiganahalli, Yelahanka, Bengaluru. This significant event will be held a day after the Inaugural Programme of the CISCE National Pre-Subroto Cup (U17 Girls), a prestigious inter-school football tournament.

The Heads of Schools’ Meet will be presided over by Dr. G. Immanuel, Chairman of CISCE, and Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE. Both leaders will address the Heads of Schools on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Way Forward for CISCE Schools. This event will serve as a crucial platform for the exchange of ideas and opportunities to enhance educational capacities in line with NEP 2020. Discussions will focus on upgrading school infrastructure, classroom practices, resource allocation, and administrative policies to align with policy mandates and meet growing international standards.

As a progressive and future-focused national examination board, CISCE is committed to adopting transformative practices to modernize education and nurture competent, creative, and socially responsible citizens. The affiliated schools are driven by the ethos of CISCE, which encourages them to develop their own niche while experimenting with new ideas and practices that celebrate diversity and plurality. The event aims to facilitate discussions on effectively adopting the NEP 2020 mandate, promoting systemic reforms that will prepare schools for international benchmarking in learning standards across India.

Currently, Karnataka boasts 462 CISCE-affiliated schools, the third highest among all states in India. This year, 27,779 students from the ICSE (Class X) and 2,352 students from the ISC (Class XII) level examinations in Karnataka's CISCE-affiliated schools have excelled, making Karnataka one of the top-performing states for ICSE and ISC in 2024.

Dr. Snehal Pinto, Director of the Ryan International Group of Institutions, will also play a key role in the event, contributing her expertise and insights to the discussions.

This event promises to be an enriching experience, fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices to further the educational mission of CISCE and its affiliated schools.
