The Ministry of Education reviewed NCERT guidelines for implementing bagless days in schools, aiming to enhance student exposure to activities outside the classroom. PSS Central Institute of Vocational Education developed these guidelines to make learning more joyful and stress-free. The guidelines suggest sensitizing students to local ecology, testing water purity, recognizing local flora and fauna, and visiting monuments. The National Education Policy 2020 recommends a 10-day bagless period for grades 6 to 8, during which students will intern with local skill experts. Activities include arts, sports, and skill-based learning, visits to historical and cultural sites, interactions with local artists, and educational excursions, promoting an appreciation for the larger ecosystem.
