The Supreme Court adjourned the NEET UG hearing to July 18 as some parties had not yet received responses from the Centre and the National Testing Agency. The petitioners' counsel requested a hearing on July 15, but Solicitor General Tushar Mehta was unavailable. The court, led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, received a CBI status report on alleged NEET UG 2024 irregularities. The Centre stated that IIT Madras' data analytics found no mass malpractice or localized irregularities. NEET UG 2024 counseling will start in the third week of July, with over 23.33 lakh students having taken the test on May 5.
