Lakhs of candidates are waiting for the National Testing Agency to announce the final answer key and results of the Common University Entrance Test for UG courses. NTA will conduct a re-test for affected candidates on July 19, with results expected by the end of July. This delay has impacted admissions at 261 universities, including Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University. Both universities plan extra weekend classes and shorter winter breaks to compensate. DU’s academic calendar for first-year students will be extended, while JNU plans Saturday classes. Ambedkar University also plans extra evening and weekend classes. Over 13 lakh students appeared for the CUET UG exams held in May 2024.
