IIT Guwahati has implemented numerous projects to enhance education in Meghalaya, impacting over 50,000 students across 2200 schools. Key initiatives include setting up 50 tinkering labs, training over 70 teachers, and supplying robotics kits to 750 schools. The institute also launched MEGHQUEST, an excursion trip exposing over 4,000 students to advanced scientific research. Additionally, they initiated a school mentoring program, created science kits with 40+ experiments, and formed science and maths clubs. A Science & Maths Olympiad engaged over 11,000 students, while a quiz competition fostered general knowledge and competitive spirit. These efforts aim to integrate technology and hands-on learning into school curriculums, significantly enhancing the quality of education in the region.
