A 17-year-old student, Mohit Kumar Sevda, from a private school in Sikar, Rajasthan, allegedly died by suicide in his hostel room. His family claims that harassment and punishment by teachers for not wearing a uniform led to his death. On Wednesday, the bereaved family protested, demanding legal action against the school administration. They alleged that teachers forced Mohit to leave morning prayers and humiliated him publicly, driving him to end his life. A suicide note found in Mohit's room claimed he took the step of his own accord. Mohit, an academically brilliant student, had scored 93% in his class 10 board exams.
