A bench led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud directed the National Testing Agency to publish the NEET UG 2024 results on their website by July 20, ensuring anonymity by masking candidate identities city-wise and center-wise. The court acknowledged the confirmed leaks in Patna and Hazaribagh and emphasized determining the extent of the breach. During the hearing, the NTA presented past student numbers and defended against leak claims. Chief Justice Chandrachud questioned the plausibility of the leak hypotheses and stressed transparency in the examination process. The next hearing is set for July 22, 2024, where a verdict is expected.
