The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has firmly denied claims of a leak involving the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) paper and assured that the examination question paper has not yet been prepared. NEET PG is scheduled to take place on August 11, 2024.
In response to recent allegations, the NBEMS has taken legal action by filing a police complaint against individuals and groups involved in fraudulent activities. These fraudsters have been attempting to deceive NEET PG aspirants by promising access to the 2024 question paper in exchange for substantial sums of money. The NBEMS stated on August 7 to address these concerns and clarify the situation.
The board's statement came after reports surfaced that certain agents were making false claims on social media platforms, particularly Telegram. A channel named ‘NEET PG Leaked Material’ was reportedly offering to sell purported NEET PG 2024 questions. The NBEMS has warned candidates not to fall for these scams, emphasizing that the question paper for the upcoming examination is not available and such claims are baseless.
The NBEMS has urged candidates to be vigilant and not be misled by unscrupulous elements trying to exploit them. The board stressed that any direct or indirect involvement in these fraudulent activities, including the dissemination of false information, will be dealt with severely. The NBEMS is committed to taking appropriate action against anyone involved in spreading such rumors or engaging in deceptive practices.
A spokesperson for the board stated that any candidates who encounter agents or individuals promising access to NEET PG question papers through spoofed emails, SMS, phone calls, forged documents, or social media should report these incidents immediately. The NBEMS has set up a communication portal for such reports at exam.natboard.edu.in/communication.php?page=main, and candidates are also advised to contact local police for further investigation.
The NBEMS reassured all NEET PG aspirants that it is taking stringent measures to ensure the integrity of the examination process and to protect candidates from fraudulent schemes. The board emphasized its commitment to conducting a fair and transparent examination and urged students to rely on official sources for information and updates regarding the NEET PG exam.
As the examination date approaches, the NBEMS continues to work closely with law enforcement agencies to combat these fraudulent activities and ensure a secure environment for all candidates. The board's proactive stance aims to safeguard the interests of aspiring medical professionals and uphold the credibility of the NEET PG examination.
