Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), a premier institution under Delhi University, concluded its placement season for 2023-24 on an impressive note, setting new benchmarks in both job offers and internships. With over 500 offers from more than 135 companies across 15+ sectors, SRCC continues to solidify its reputation as one of India’s top commerce colleges.
The placement drive witnessed a significant 29% increase in the number of recruiters compared to last year, reflecting the growing confidence of the corporate world in SRCC's talent pool.
Key Highlights of the Placement Season
Placement Packages: Breaking Records
The highest package offered this year was a whopping ₹35 lakh per annum, reflecting the robust demand for SRCC graduates in the industry. The average package stood at ₹8.63 lakh per annum, while the median package was ₹7.15 lakh per annum. The total gross value of offers amounted to ₹43.42 crore.
Top-performing students were particularly well-rewarded, with the top 10% of candidates securing an average CTC of ₹19.62 lakh per annum. Similarly, the top 20% averaged ₹17.01 lakh per annum, while the top 30% achieved ₹15.06 lakh per annum.
Internship Achievements: A New Standard
Internships at SRCC saw remarkable growth this year, with a 67% increase in the highest stipend and a 122% rise in the average stipend. The highest stipend offered reached ₹3.67 lakh per month, with the average stipend coming in at ₹40,000 per month.
A total of 115 internship offers were made, underscoring the college’s ability to attract coveted opportunities for its students. The gross value of internships rose by an impressive 99%, further highlighting the quality of exposure SRCC students gain even before graduating.
Diversity and Academic Representation
This year’s batch reflected a balanced diversity with a 46:54 male-to-female ratio. Academically, the batch comprised 80% of students from the BCom (Hons) program, while 10% were from the BA (Hons) Economics course.
