Pinegrove School Subathu celebrated its Annual Function on 7th Nov 2023. The event marked a grand show of inspiring performances. It was truly a showcase of excellence, which put together the finest aspects mastered by students during the academic year. The impressive function commenced with the Chief Guest Hon'ble Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Ch. Ram Kumar taking the salute of an immaculate march-past by the school’s NCC contingents of boys and girls. Enthusiastic gymnasts displayed a variety of exercises including floor, chair and horse-work which highlighted skills acquired through rigorous training. The synchronized and euphonic display by the School’s Brass Band won the hearts of the audience, while the field dance presented a glimpse of timeless and enchanting tales of Lord Krishna. The School’s Jazz Band played memorable tunes and enthralled the audience with their soulful and peppy numbers of yesteryears. The cultural programme in the Gulab Auditorium too was an ensemble of entertaining and thought-provoking performances by the students. A masterful rendition of RaagKirwani, Shivranjani and vrindavani was followed by the Annual Report wherein students unveiled the scholastic and co-scholastic achievements. The main attraction of the cultural programme was the Hindi play Basti while the most riveting dance performance on Abhimanyu. This 'Kathak Ballet’ was truly a show-stealer as the dancers captivated the audience with their striking postures and mesmerizing formations. The impeccable performance of the students was highly appreciable. The Art and Craft exhibition too brought forth innate skills and creative genius of students. The Chief Guest Hon'ble Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Chaudhry Ram Kumar presided over the function and appreciated the continuous and untiring efforts of the management to provide world-class infrastructure whilst ensuring all round development of the students be it co-curricular activities or academics apart from honing their public speaking skills in English and Hindi languages. Chaudhry Ram Kumar also applauded the Executive Director, Capt. A J Singh for donating generously to the flood Relief Fund and praised the parents for making a wise decision in sending their wards to Pinegrove. Special guests Dr. Joanne Coble Woodard, Executive Director of Sallie B Howard School North Carolina, USA and Mrs. Elena Galvez from the Mayor’s Office of the City Hall Council in the City of Santa Clarita, California too graced the occasion with their presence.
