Delhi University (DU) has introduced a measure to grant 10 extra marks as grace to students who have failed a single paper and exhausted all chances to clear it. The provision applies to students completing their degrees in 2021-22 and 2022-23, coinciding with the Covid-19 outbreak. It also includes those who took part in the centenary chance with a maximum of four papers allowed. This initiative extends to undergraduate, postgraduate, and MPhil students, aiming to assist those facing challenges due to the pandemic, such as remote learning obstacles or health concerns. A committee will be formed to evaluate individual cases and determine the need for special chance examinations. Students must provide valid reasons for their inability to pass a paper or extend their degree completion.
