Gujarat teacher to receive National Teacher Award for his unique education contributions – Education News
Ashok Kumar Parmar, a Gujarat teacher from Bhuj, is set to receive the National Teacher Award 2021 for his unique education contributions. He painted and covered his school walls with colourful posters and informative bulletins.

The teacher of Hiten Dholakiya Vidyalay, Bhuj, Gujarat, has had a wonderful academic career. The way he transformed his school has made his students more interested in learning. The foundation stone of his school was laid by late President APJ Abdul Kalam, and now, Ashok Kumar Paramar is taking the name of his school ahead with his various contributions.
He made his school attractive by placing informative posters and banners all around the walls. The paintings on the school walls have detailed information about great personalities of India and their lives, as well as about their important contribution to the country. Various kinds of information such as the maps of all states of India, and important things about the states are also put up on the walls.
For children, the school is full of activities, and an interesting library. Every subject is made simple for students to learn easily. Ashok Kumar said that his basic aim is to educate the children in a good and simple way. He teaches every subject in a unique and simple manner due to which students also remain interested in learning more.
As the Covid-19 pandemic shifted learning online, Paramar introduced a puzzle-based system to teach mathematics and even created a Whastapp group of 5000 teachers A group has also been created which would work on how to make mathematics simpler and easier for students. Paramar said he is very happy to be one of the recipients of the National Teachers Award.
