Odisha govt releases guidelines for school reopening for Classes 8 and 11 – Education News
Odisha schools, both English and Odia medium schools, to reopen for Classes 8 and 11 after a gap of 18 months due to the pandemic. The government has issued guidelines for Covid-19 safety.Class 11 students can resume physical classes from October 21 while Class 8 students will resume from October 25.
In a letter to the DEOs (District Education Officers) Satyabrata Sahu, Principal Secretary, School and Mass Education Department, clearly mentioned detailed guidelines about reopening of schools amid strict Covid-19 protocol for the safety of students.The guidelines issued by the state government include sanitization of schools from October 17.
The headmasters of respective schools in odisha will submit detailed report about the cleaning activities to the DEO a day before Schools reopen.Since the schools will reopen after 18 months, on the first two days i.e. October 25 and 26, the teachers will guide the students with extra-curricular activities, debate competitions, singing, drawing etc.
