IIM Vizag observes vigilance awareness week – Education News
The Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam is observing the vigilance awareness week on this year’s theme of ‘Independent India @75: Self-Reliance with Integrity’ from October 26 to November 1.
This initiative aims to bring together all stakeholders to participate in the collective prevention and fight against corruption and raise public awareness regarding the existence, causes, and gravity of the threat posed by corruption.
The theme was initiated by the Central Vigilance Commission to commemorate the 75 years of India’s Independence and to ensure integrity in public life to usher in a new era of self-reliant India. As a part of this initiative, the faculty and staff of IIM Visakhapatnam took a pledge to fight corruption.
Speaking on this occasion, Director of IIM-Vizag, Prof M. Chandrasekhar, said; “The most basic step one has to follow to alienate corruption is by doing the work righteously even when one isn’t under the eyes of supervision. We should follow the protocols laid down by the government meticulously to be a righteous citizen of the country.”
