Delhi schools & colleges permitted to reopen from November 29 – Education News
The Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Wednesday announced that schools, colleges, and other educational institutions are allowed to reopen from Monday, i.e., November 29, 2021. On November 13, Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, announced that schools, colleges, and other educational institutions will be closed for a week starting from Monday due to degrading air quality.
Recently, a group of parents wrote a letter to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal seeking his intervention for the reopening of schools that were closed recently due to air pollution.
In the letter, parents said that due to Covid-19, schools were already closed for a long period of time, and while construction and other activities are allowed, keeping in mind weather-related changes that have resulted in minor improvements in AQI, children and their education should also be given equal attention.
