Rajasthan govt cancels REET exam, Level 2 exam to be held again – Education News
The Rajasthan government cancels REET exam due to a paper leak controversy. Chief Minister
Ashok Gehlot announced the cancels REET exam and said that the Level 2 REET exam would now be
held again.
An announcement was also made of 30,000 more vacancies under REET. The CM also assured in a
tweet that the government would make sure all those responsible for the paper leak would be identified
and punished. He also tweeted, “The level-1 process will continue as before. Now there will be
recruitment for a total of 62,000 posts in both the levels. Youth should be rest assured, the state
government is fully standing by in their interest.”
REET was held on September 26, 2021, and a gang of five people was arrested after a cheating racket
was uncovered by Rajasthan Police. The REET paper leak case has been embroiled in controversy with
and BJP leaders even held a protest at Jaipur against the government while demanding a CBI
investigation into the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) paper leak case.
