Cancellation of Board Exams 2022 or postpone them – these demands are among the few that have been put forward by students set to appear for Boards Exams 2022. From students of Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, CISCE, and NIOS to State Boards like Maharashtra Board, Jharkhand Board, RBSE etc., students have been raising their voices against offline exams.

With regards to the issue of 10th & 12th Board Exams 2022 cancellation and/or postponement, students have now taken the next step and moved Supreme Court. Reports suggest that a plea has been filed in SC seeking an alternative mode of assessment, in place of offline exams.   In the petition that has been filed, it has been alleged that Boards have not taken a timely decision with regards to result declaration and conducting exams, hence causing trouble to many students.

Apart from seeking an alternative way of assessment in place of Board Exams 2022, the plea filed also seeks relief with regards to the conduct of an improvement exam later. This has been sought for students who will not be satisfied with the evaluation of internal assessments, a process also followed by many Boards in 2020-21 exams.
