Karnataka govt urges universities to postpone degree exams by one month- Education News
The Karnataka government has requested the vice chancellors of universities to consider postponing the semester exams of degree courses by a month in view of the third wave of the Covid-19 outbreak.
Department of Higher Education Additional Chief Secretary G Kumar Naik said that the Vice Chancellors of all universities have been requested to take a decision on postponing the degree exams in view of the incomplete syllabus. He said that the portions remained incomplete as physical classes had to be suspended considering the third Covid-19 wave.
He said,”Some of the universities had already announced the schedule of semester examinations but the Commissioner of Department of Collegiate and Technical Education (DCTE) had written a letter asking to postpone the examinations by a month in order to enable students to better prepare.”
