Haryana minister says govt schools are short of over 38,000 teachers- Education News

Haryana education and parliamentary affairs minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar on Saturday said there are over 38,000 vacancies of teaching staff and 2,000 vacancies of non-teaching in govt schools across the state.

According to sources, there are 38,476 vacancies for teaching posts in govt schools , which include 15,265 postgraduate teachers, (PGT) 18,236 trained graduate teachers (TGTs), 1,046 head masters/mistresses and 3,929 posts of junior basic teachers (JBTs). Additionally, 2,000 posts of non-teaching staff are also vacant.

Gujjar also informed about the requisition of 3646 PGT, 3033 TGT, 952 primary teachers for Mewat cadre has been sent to Haryana Staff Selection Commission.
