Punjab CM orders private schools to not hike fee this year- Education News
On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, made two major announcements. In the order, the Punjab government stated that the private schools in the state will not be allowed to increase the admission fee for the upcoming academic year.
Further, the CM has also ordered that no private schools will force parents to buy books, stationery, uniforms, etc., from a particular shop. Parents will be allowed to buy school essentials as per their own convenience. The move is aimed at breaking the monopoly in the “education business”.
