Criminal case to be filed against Euro School for harassment of students & parents- Education News

Maharashtra State school education minister Varsha Gaikwad, on Monday, directed the Pune divisional deputy director to file a criminal case against Euro School, Undri, for harassment of students and parents.

The school was in the news last week after a parent was allegedly manhandled by the female security guards on the school premises. A delegation of parents and parents’ association met Varsha Gaikwad on Monday regarding the incidents at Euro School Undri, Kline Memorial School and Kothari International Schools.

The meeting was initiated to take notice of the issue as the education department has received multiple complaints from city parents. Speaking after the meeting, minister Gaikwad said, “I have reviewed the incidents at Kothari International School, Kline Memorial School and Euro School in Pune. As per the decisions, I have directed Ukirde to immediately file a criminal case in accordance with the law. Moreover, a meeting with parents’ associations on these issues shall be convened on Tuesday. The government of Maharashtra cannot tolerate such incidents. I have ordered the strongest possible action against the guilty.”
