Ranchi changes school timings due to summer heat

School timings in the Ranchi district of Jharkhand have been rescheduled from 6 am to 10:30 am by the district administration for both government and private schools in view of the summer heat, according to officials.

Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan informed in an official release, “In the interest of the health of school students, the timing has been revised, which will be in effect till further order.” Jharkhand school education and literacy department had earlier revised the school timings from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm on April 13. Many districts had also reduced the duration of classes earlier due to the rise in temperature. The administrations of the Hazaribag and Deoghar also revised school timings from 6:00 am to 10:30 am in their respective districts on April 29.
