The world welcomed year 2020 with open arms, sparkling eyes and cheerful smile; a year full of promises, hope and aspirations.

Covid 19 pandemic lashed its whip with all its might challenging humanity at large and changing the way of life for the young and the old, rich and the poor.
People across the globe bore the brunt of the pandemic yet their unflinching spirit of survival led them to proactively adapt themselves to the ‘new normal’.
Education sector was not far behind. At the national as well as state level, management of schools were looking for alternative approaches to regular classroom teaching.
Soon e – learning became the need of the hour.
Spurthy Global School, with its aim of enabling our children to flourish to their full potential, took up the challenge of ensuring that learning continued for those in our care.
It has been the quick response of school management, dedication of teachers and trust of other stake holders that has enabled us to streamline the plan of action and implement the same effectively.
However, the idea of moving to digital learning was met with some reluctance on the part of the parents.
Preliminary survey regarding access to digital learning from home was conducted by the staff , parents were counselled and informed about the strategies to be followed by school , their role in the ‘new normal’ and their gradual compliance paved the way for commencement of online classes.
We thought that it was just a matter of weeks but soon realised that we had to begin session 2020- 21 on the digital platform.
Parent Orientation Programme was conducted online and the new members were welcomed onboard.
Online Induction Programme for the staff was carried out to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
It was amazing to see our teachers work relentlessly, improving their skills to ensure that children comprehend and learn well.
With the ongoing Unit test, Support classes planning of E- Literary Fest we remain undeterred aspire to fare well in these trying times.
COVID 19 is maybe here to stay for some time and the light may seem to be at the far end of the tunnel but we continue to surge ahead with determination.
We look forward to the times when it would be safe for our children be back in school.
Till then it is our faith that gives us the assurance that we shall overcome any challenge to ensure the children continue to learn to the best of their ability.
