UGC calls for suggestions on draft guidelines for creating safe environment for women- Education News
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has drafted the ‘Guidelines for basic facilities and amenities for safe, secure environment for women and women cell (for sensitisation, opolicy implementation, monitoring and grievance redressal) in HEIs’ in light of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The notification by UGC states that it was the responsibility of all institutions to provide “a safe, secure and violence-free environment to all the students, particularly the women students”.
UGC has called for suggestions and comments from all stakeholders on the draft guidelines which should be sent in by November 14, 2022, to [email protected]
