School teacher sent obscene stickers, held
MUMBAI: City police on Thursday arrested a 32-year-old school teacher for sending objectionable stickers to a Class VI student.
The accused was held outside Mumbai within 48 hours of the case being registered by the 10-year-old schoolgirl.
He has been booked under sections of the Indian Penal Code for stalking and sexual harassment, and under the Pocso Act.
The teacher was employed in the school since the past few years.
DCP Manjunath Singe supervised senior inspector Shriram Koregaonkar who along with the detection team tracked him.
Police have seized the mobile phone he had used to send the stickers to the minor’s mobile phone through WhatsApp.
