10% seat reservation announced under ‘PARVAAZ’ for children of martyred Forces Personnel & poor families- Education News

The Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday announced reservation of 10% seats under ‘PARVAAZ’ initiative for the children of armed forces personnel who attained martyrdom in the line of duty in J&K and those from poor families.

Earlier, on November 8, the Centre has reserved medical seats this year in government-run colleges across the country for children maimed by terrorism in J&K or whose parent(s) either died or suffered permanent disability in a terrorist attack.
The reservation for MBBS and BDS courses was made from the central pool with effect from the academic year 2022-23 and the selection would be made by the MHA based on marks obtained by the applicants in NEET-UG 2022 and possessing the necessary educational qualifications.
