UGC asks HEIs, affiliated colleges to register on FIT INDIA portal-Education News

The University Grants Commission (UGC) issued a letter requesting higher educational institutions (HEIs) and their affiliated colleges to encourage students to register themselves on the FIT INDIA website.

The FIT INDIA portal was developed by the ministry of education for all students and staff of HEIs to have physical and mental fitness along with emotional and intellectual well-being. Students and staff are encouraged to update date related to fitness activities conducted at different points.

The FIT INDIA movement was launch on National Sports Day on August 29, 2019 by prime minster Narendra Modi with the aim to make fitness an integral part of daily lives of Indians. UGC The primary objective of the movement is to bring visible behavioral changes and move India towards a physically active lifestyle.
