DU receives highest number of applications for CUET UG, followed by BHU and Allahabad University: UGC Chairman-Education News
For the second edition of the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate admissions, CUET UG 2023, 16.85 lakh students have registered.
And, out of the same, 13.995 lakhs paid the application fee and submitted the application form, according to the University Grants Commission’s Chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar. This shows a total 41 percent increase in the total number of students who will sit for CUET-UG 2023.
M Jagadesh Kumar took to his official Twitter handle and tweeted the news.
DU RECEIVES THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS
Delhi University received the highest number of applications, followed by Banaras Hindu University, and then Allahabad University. Also, the maximum number of applications has been received by Uttar Pradesh, followed by Delhi and then Bihar.
The UGC chairperson also said that this year, 1,000 applications have been received from foreign students from 74 countries.
He further added that this year, 82,655 applications have been received from the students of Jammu and Kashmir. This is nearly 70,000 more than that of last year.
