Farmer’s son from UP village Bajrang Yadav cracks UPSC civil services exam-Education News

In a remarkable achievement, Bajrang Yadav, the son of a farmer from Guddi village in Basti district, Uttar Pradesh, has successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022.

The results of the highly competitive examination were recently announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), where women secured top positions. Bajrang Yadav’s success story is one of determination, overcoming adversity, and the pursuit of a dream. Bajrang Yadav’s journey to crack the UPSC exam was not an easy one. Tragedy struck his family when his father, Rajesh Yadav, a farmer who also dedicated his time to helping the poor and disadvantaged in their village, was murdered in 2020. This incident deeply impacted Bajrang, and he made a solemn decision to honor his father’s memory by pursuing his dream of becoming an IAS officer. Bajrang Yadav shared with Aaj Tak, “After the death of my father, I decided that I have to pass the UPSC exam and become an IAS officer.” Fueled by a strong sense of purpose, he embarked on his UPSC journey, determined to achieve success. On Tuesday, Bajrang Prasad Yadav secured an impressive 454th rank in the UPSC CSE 2022. His mother, Kusumkala, holds the position of village head in Dhobhat gram panchayat.
