No change in October timing, schools to begin for teachers at 7:30 in the morning
Rajasthan government has not changed the school timings this year for October. The schools timings would remain the same for teachers from 7.30 am to 1 pm.
Rajasthan government has decided that the school timings for October will remain unchanged this year. The school timings for teachers would remain the same and they would have to reach schools at 7.30 in the morning till October 31, 2020. The government schools will follow the summer timetable from 7.30 am to 1 pm and not the winter timetable from 10 am to 4 pm.
This decision to keep school timing unchanged was taken after many teachers’ organizations appealed to Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra to keep the timing same for the month of October.
He took his official twitter handle to announce his decision. In the tweet he wrote, “Taking a decision on teacher and student interest on the outbreak of Coronavirus and the demand of teacher organizations, the summer school period is extended to 31 October, making partial amendments to the camp program. Time change of state government schools will now be from 1 November 2020.”
The school timings have not been changed keeping the pandemic under consideration. However, the Rajasthan schools are partially operational for classes 9 to 12 students who can visit schools voluntarily from September 21 onwards for guidance from their teachers. The guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health would be applicable to both government and private schools.
Meanwhile, the state government has decided to change the government school uniform even as the schools are shut due to Covid-19, just because the earlier one was similar to that of members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Education Minister has confirmed that all government school students would have to adapt a new uniform by the start of the next academic session.
