Ranveer Singh Saini and Rahul Agarwal, with their unwavering determination, secured the coveted Gold medal in the golfing event at the Special Olympics World Games 2023,held in Berlin from 17th to 25th of June 2023.Ranveer and Rahul mesmerized audiences with their captivating performances for four consecutive days at the Arnold Palmer Course in Berlin.
Their partnership in the alternate shot team play proved unbeatable, reigning atop the Leaderboard throughout .With an astonishing margin, they clinched the Gold medal, shattering records with an 18-shot lead. Defeating 20 teams from all across the world including USA, UAE, Netherlands ,Norway, South Africa, Macau, UK, etc.
Saini, a cherished athlete of SO Bharat, has long been the cornerstone of India’s triumph son the global stage. Aged just 15, he blazed at rail by seizing India’s first-ever golfing Gold at the World Games, 2015 Los Angeles Games followed by a Silver Medal at the 2019World Games held in Abu Dhabi. Ranveer has set a new record of a Hat Trick win of 3medals for India in Golf at the World Games (2015,2019& 2023).
Diagnosed with autism at an early age ,Ranveer found solace and purpose on the greens, guided by the unwavering support of his parents Bakhtwar and Kartikay Saini. Golf ,a natural choice with its familial connections ,allowed him to thrive. After all, his own uncle, Jeev Milkha Singh, stands tall as one of India’s golfing legends.
