Delhi Govt’s Primary Schools, MCD Schools To Remain Closed Tomorrow In View Of Heavy Rainfall

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has ordered that all MCD schools, MCD-aided, and Recognised schools will remain closed for students on Tuesday in view of heavy rainfall. A day off has also been declared for students of classes Nursery to fifth in all government and government-aided schools under the Directorate of Education in Delhi, as per a release. These orders come after the Delhi government directed the closure of schools for Monday in view of incessant rainfall. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement in this regard came while weather projections said that the national capital will continue to see more downpour.  “In view of the heavy rainfall and the alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) regarding adverse weather conditions in Delhi, it has been decided that all MCD schools, MCD Aided, and Recognised schools will remain closed for students on 11.07.2023 for the well-being of our students in light of the inclement weather conditions,” the order read.
