Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday responded to a young student’s video through a tweet. The video that went viral shows the student requesting PM Modi to reduce the homework pressure on children who are taking online classes amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Very adorable complaint. Have directed the school education department to come out with a policy within 48 hours to lighten burden of homework on school kids. Childhood innocence is a gift of God and their days should be lively, full of joy and bliss,” J&K LG Manoj Sinha tweeted.
Later he informed that there will not be more than 1.5 hours of classes in a stretch for students from 1 to 8 standards, while for high school, there will not be more than 3 hours long classes.
“The school education department has decided to limit daily online classes for a maximum one and half hours for classes 1 to 8, spread across two sessions. For class 9 to 12 online synchronous learning will not be more than 3 hours,” he tweeted.
