As 15th July is observed as World Youth Skills Day, sharing with you quote from Ms. Surabhi Goel, CEO, Aditya Birla Education Academy.

It would be great if you could include it any relevant story that you would be filing.

“The survival of youth in this competitive landscape completely depends on the vigor to gain more knowledge, focus on consistent upskilling sessions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, and develop the ability to unlearn and relearn fresh information.

Modern advancements in technology have transformed various aspects of our lives including the process of communicating, learning, and teaching. With the shift from textbooks, this era is overloaded with information accessible with just a click of a button. In today’s time, young educators are required to disseminate information from a conceptual perspective rather than merely from a content point of view. In addition to building technical skills, young educators today need to also adopt soft skills and take up the added responsibility of supporting students to navigate their anxieties and mental stress by making their classrooms a safe haven and an empowering place where kids can successfully grasp knowledge and share their concerns without the worry of being judged. At Aditya Birla Education Academy, our training policy has stressed on upskilling of teachers through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and various other long-term and short-term programmes.

As we celebrate World Youth Skills Day, I would like to urge all the young educators to undertake various training programmes that will help them stay relevant in a post pandemic world. In addition to this, I take this opportunity to reach out to all the young and bright minds of India who will soon jump into the professional bandwagon to consider choosing their career as a teacher as it is one of the most rewarding occupation and provides huge amount of gratification for being able to impart knowledge to the future leaders.”- Ms. Surabhi Goel, CEO, Aditya Birla Education Academy
