Delhi Public School Nashik Ashadhi Ekadashi celebrated at DPS Nashik

The eleventh lunar day of the month of Ashadh or Ashadhi Ekadashi holds a special significance to the devotees of Vitthal. This year our Pre-primary learners celebrated the festival at DPS Nashik on 19th July 2021. The primary objective of the celebrations was to make the children aware of these Indian festivals and also to introduce them to the Indian culture of celebrations and such fests

The fests help us as individuals develop all the aspects of life and understand its true purpose. Ashadhi Dindi or procession helps us to connect with people from all backgrounds and experience bliss and spiritual awareness.

The tiny tots of DPS Nashik participated enthusiastically in the celebrations by dressing up in traditional Maharashtrian costumes. The kids were briefed about the importance of this day and later on joined Mrs. Jyoti Sulakshane, a parent, for the Vitthal Aarti. The children thereafter enjoyed a fulfilling meal of sabudana khichdi. It truly was a joyous and spiritually awakening activity conducted at DPS Nashik.
