Plaksha University is an upcoming private university for technology education. Founded in 2019, Plaksha offers B.Tech at UG level and RHEDF, the founding body of Plaksha offers Tech Leaders Fellowship courses at the PG level along with a Young Tech Scholars summer programme to the students. The first batch of B.Tech will be offered from August 2021, the admission process for it has already commenced.
Located in Mohali, Punjab, this Plaksha is a collective initiative of over 60+ business leaders, entrepreneurs and academicians. The construction of its 50-acre permanent campus is in full swing and the academic buildings along with the residential complex will be ready by early 2021.
With an aim to build a new model of education, Plaksha has already formed collaborations with some of the top universities of the world, such as UC Berkeley, Purdue University and SRI International (formerly called Stanford Research Institute).
In addition to contributing towards the creation of its programme and curriculum design, Plaksha envisions to reimagine technical education and research for India and the world. A few of the early founders of Plaksha also founded Ashoka University, which has emerged as one of the prominent institutions for Liberal Arts in India.
