DU to reopen from Feb 17, following protests by students – Education News
DU Proctor Rajni Abbi announced that the DU will be reopen from February 17, 2022, for offline classes, following a demonstration by students.
As per further reports, the DU and its colleges will reopen for offline functioning with 100 percent capacity and hostels and canteens will reopen from February 17th as well. Various student organizations have been protesting outside the offices of DU administration for campus reopening for a while. During such a protest, students had hung an ‘Out of Service’ placard on the gates of DU VC’s office.
Students had earlier said that they would be commencing ‘Sadak pe Kaksha’ or ‘Classroom on the street’ as part of their protest from February 9 if the university wasn’t reopened. As part of ‘Sadak pe Kaksha’, students organized an offline class outside the vice-chancellor’s office.
