Kolhapur University suspends exams for 2 days- Education News

Kolhapur University has decided to postpone the exams scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday due to the recent heavy rainfall and flooding in western Maharashtra regions.

The Panchganga River in Kolhapur has reached the warning level after a period of severe rain, according to district officials. The Kolhapur University examinations scheduled for August 10 and August 11 have been postponed due to the severe rains and associated flooding in the districts of Kolhapur, Sangli, and Satara, according to a statement from the district government. It stated that the new schedule would be revealed later.

According to representatives from the Public Works Department, some roads in the Kolhapur area were closed because of water logging on various stretches.

According to representatives of the district disaster management cell, the Panchganga river’s water level at Rajaram Weir was 40.2 feet on Wednesday at 10 am, as opposed to the warning level of 39 feet and the danger mark of 43 feet.
