Mumbai University postpones all semester exams following student demands- Education News

After demands from students of several city colleges, Mumbai University has decided to postpone all semester-end exams that were slated to begin from October 10.

A circular to this effect was issued by the university on Tuesday morning. This includes exams for first, second and third year students from across courses. The revised dates of commencement will be released soon. The decision was taken in the board of examinations meeting. Exams are most likely to be scheduled post Diwali. Students from at least five city colleges wrote to Mumbai University seeking exam postponement as they claimed that they did not get adequate time and practice for a written test in the long-form pattern. They said they have given only online exams with multiple-choice questions for two years. They also mentioned that the exam schedule was released at a very short notice.
