CBSE, ICSE board schools cannot refuse Gujarati language instruction policy: HC-Education News
According to the Gujarat High Court, schools that are associated with other boards, such as CBSE and ICSE, cannot refuse to carry out a state government directive that requires Gujarati language instruction as one of the required courses in Classes 1 through 8.
Justice Sonia Gokani stated that the HC will offer necessary instructions if the government “feels helpless” to compel schools during the hearing of the public interest lawsuit on Friday against the execution of the policy that was adopted in April 2018 by the Gujarat government.
