State-wise updates on Reopening of Schools in India
Unlock 5.0 saw the central government ask the state government to decide on the reopening of schools. Many state governments have been assessing the situation of their state to take a call on whether to reopen the schools or not. Following the announcement, different states have released different dates and schedules for reopening of schools. Many states have reopened and closed schools while others have postponed the decision till end of the year.
Tamil Nadu ewas scheduled to reopen schools from November 16 but cancelled the decision. Telangana on the other hand has not yet announced any decision but is expected to reopen from the 2nd week of December. Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Delhi have decided that schools would remain closed till December 31, 2020. Maharashtra, on the other hand, has finally reopened schools, but partially
