St. Anselm's Pink City Sr. Sec. School, Malviya Nagar, Jaipur is one of the many Christian Minority Institutions run by the Gyan Deep Education Society. It is co-educational and imparts education through English medium. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The School provides a sound education designed to fit its students for the world of tomorrow, whatever sphere of activity they may be called to. The aim of the School is to give boys and girls a sound intellectual, physical and moral education so that they turn out to be good and upright citizens for time and eternity. The scholastic year begins in April. The examination pattern will be as per guidelines given by CBSE. Reports of conduct, application and progress are issued at the end of each examination and are sent to parents / guardians. The study of Hindi is compulsory in all classes. Drill and outdoor games are compulsory. Regular Parent - Teacher meetings are held during the year. St. Anselm came from a noble Lombard family and was born in Aosta in the Italian Alps. His mother was a good and pious Burgundian woman, but after her death his father´s violence and harshness finally caused Anselm to flee to France. Here after several years of wandering, he took the Benedictine habit in 1060 at Bee (Normandy), where his illustrious countryman Bl. Lanfrance had started the famous school and soon he was well-known for his learning. Within three years he was made Prior and after another 15 years, very reluctantly, Abbot. As abbot, St. Anselm had to cross over to England from time to time in connection with his abbey‘s English properties, and there he became known and highly esteemed for his virtues and fearless zeal. So much so that in 1099 he was made Archbishop of Canterbury in the hope that he would be able to cope with the encroachments of King William the Red. Many important writings of this gentle Prelate, who was considered the greatest intellectual of his age and a ‘patron for all theologians´ were composed during his two banishments. They earned him the title of ‘Father of scholasticism and "Doctor of the Universal Church" (1720) on account of the deep and lasting influence which his thinking had upon philosophy and theology. When the French Capuchin Fathers came to Ajmer they found St. Anselm as the most appropriate saint to be the patron of their new school. They adopted the saint`s motto for the school. “DEO AMABILES ET HOMINIBL” which means “Be loveable to God and to man” St. Anselm`s Pink City School, Jaipur hopes to make all its students always pleasing to God and fellow men. Reflection : ´O Lord, our God, Grant us the grace to desire You with our whole heart, that in desiring You we may seek and find you, that finding you we- may love You, and loving You we may despise the sins from which You have redeemed us´.

Greetings and good wishes to all the well wishers and friends of St. Anselm Pink City School. It is a matter of great joy and rejoicing to captain a team so great and to lead forward a legacy left behind by such great towering personalities like Rev. Fr. Raymond Coelho who was a legendary educationist of his time. Then we had a great human and philanthropic Rev. Fr. Edward Oliveira who was great writer and composer with great acumen of recognizing and appreciating beauty all around him. The teachers and the students loved him for his unique concept of education. We also had other brilliant captains like Rev. Fr. Paul Pulickal and Rev. Fr. Melvin Jobard who have left indelible mark of leadership and are fondly remembered for their yeomen services rendered in this school for the welfare of students and the good of the institution.
