Govt school clerk in Ludhiana tests positive; contacts being traced in school

Ludhiana: As a clerk of a government school has tested positive for Covid 19, the health department has quarantined him and his family and is tracing his contacts in the school.

Health department officials said that as per the 35-year-old patient, who lives in old market area, he works as a clerk in a government senior secondary school in Khanna.

They added that the immediate contacts of the employee, his wife and daughter, were immediately home quarantined and their samples would be sent for Covid-19 testing as well.

Senior medical officer, Dr Rajinder Gulati said that according to the employee, he usually sits in a separate room in his office and doesn’t have close contacts there. He added that they had asked the principal of the school to provide the details about the possible contacts of the positive case and they were waiting for the details.
