The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially released the JAC Board examination time table 2026 for Class 8, Class 9, and Class 11 students. JAC Board Releases Exam Schedule for Classes 8, 9, and 11

According to JAC, the board examinations for Classes 8, 9, and 11 will be conducted using OMR sheets, ensuring a standardised and objective assessment process. February 27, 2026

JAC has clarified that school principals are responsible for downloading and distributing admit cards to students. The internal marks entry schedule is as follows:

  • Class 11: March 2 to March 14, 2026
  • Class 9: March 5 to March 15, 2026

Students must collect their admit cards from their respective schools and verify all details, including name, roll number, and exam centre.

Passing Criteria and Marking Scheme Explained

For Class 9 and Class 11, students must appear in five main subjects. To be declared successful, candidates are required to pass in at least four subjects.

Each subject paper will include:

  • 40 marks for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • 10 marks for internal assessment conducted by the school or college

For Class 8, each subject paper will carry 50 marks, while schools will conduct an internal assessment of 100 marks at the institutional level.
