About School
St. Claudine, Foundress of 'The Congregation of the Religious of Jesus and Mary', was a woman called by God to form this religious family. She witnessed a lot of violence during the French Revolution in which her two brothers were murdered in front of her eyes. The forgiveness to the executioners brought a turning point in Claudine's life. Thus, she selflessly dedicated her life to cater to the needs of dissolute children, especially girls. Her faith, courage and perseverance led to the formation of umpteenth Catholic institutions. 'CJM Ambala' is a proud member of this global community, which has been established by the J&M Ambala Educational Society, a Christian Minority Institution, that aims primarily at the education of the Catholic community and the preservation of Catholic faith and religious practices. The school will give preference in admission to the Catholic children. However, admission will be open for the children of other communities without distinction of caste or creed. With a view to preserving our Catholic faith, classes in religion will be conducted and it will be obligatory for Catholic children to attend these classes. The CJM Ambala has achieved excellence in all fields of academic, sports and extracurricular activities. Numerous laurels have been bestowed upon the school. The most prestigious Institution being Ranked 1 in Haryana for Holistic Development of Education. This year 2023, our school is recognized among top 10 schools in India. Vision and Leadership
School Vision

We, the Sisters of the Congregation of Jesus & Mary serving India since 1842, commit ourselves to the promotion of a just and humane society in our country. The inspiration to ‘make God known and loved’ propounded by our Foundress Claudine Thevenet, since 1818, continues to strengthen this commitment. In the India of today, the pressures of Casteism, Communalism, Poverty and Exploitative structures make it imperative for the students to equip themselves not only with intellectual skills but also with a set of attitudes imbued with social, moral and spiritual values. Our commitment to develop and impart community oriented education is specifically designed to benefit the young and among them, the poor so that in turn they becomes instruments of social change. We also seek to sensitise and conscientious them of their rights and duties towards humanity and encourage them to struggle in the face of ongoing oppression and exploitation, for establishment of an egalitarian structure. We seek to collaborate with students and parents in realizing our challenging vision of bringing about a New India free from all kinds of oppressions and thriving in God’s love of mutual respect and cooperation.

“Every morning’s dew is a fresh breath of a new beginning.” Jessica Edouard Coming back to school after vacations has always been an emotional time and a new beginning as everyone is excited to see teachers, friends and their classrooms. I welcome all the young minds radiating with a sense of unbridled enthusiasm, untainted hope and unabashed joy for life to the school campus. Dear children, as we navigate your way to help you find the right direction, always remember that ideas and philosophies have a shelf-life. They must be kept fresh and renewed as they nourish learning. So, make yourself erudite, patriotic, law abiding and ceaselessly seek excellence, with a deep concern for all especially the weak and the poor sections of the society. Dear parents, as our children make their way on the untrodden roads, let’s accord prime importance to their behavioural discipline, moral integrity and cognitive development to envisages an all around and balanced education. I believe that together we can give our children theroots to grow and the wings to fly.
