The Him Jyoti school started as a dream of our Founder, Late Shri Sudarshan Agarwal (Former Governor of Uttarakhand and Sikkim) in 2005 with 15 girls. Working relentlessly with the purpose of empowering girls from economically deprived areas, we remain committed in our efforts to expand our reach to every village in Uttarakhand. The Him Jyoti School is the fruition of the noble thought of promoting girls’ education in Uttarakhand as envisaged by Late Sudarshan Agarwal. Founded in 2005, the Him Jyoti School has carved a niche for itself as the only free residential institution with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities providing education to the bright girls from impoverished families of Uttarakhand.

A measure of its success is the short span in which the organisation has grown from strength to strength. A school imparts knowledge to children, develops their skills, instils in them sound values, and nurtures their curiosity for lifelong learning.
